A bright star with a rough outline, perfectly describes me, Ike Vega. Two nicknames put together to form a unique and illuminating part of who I am.  An R&B, Soulful, Neo Soul, Alternative and Hip Hop type of artist.  I am a proud native of Youngstown Ohio.  I was specifically put here to bring you “Grown Folk Music.”  That’s exactly what it is and will always be. GFM.

I am currently finishing up my 1st solo album and trying to put it out there in the streets by myself.  This Bio is being written to both get you to know me a little and to bring you into the reality of the struggle for me to get my sound finally ringing in your ears.  In my7 personal debate on what the title of the album should be, “The Tyme Iz Now” has won.  My first debut single “Sunny Day Full Moon Night.”

I will be doing shows throughout Ohio, Arizona, and ATL, CALIFORNIA to support my project.  The release date of my album is tentatively between the months of September and October, due to me being such a perfectionist.

Ike Vega born Isaac D. Griffin moved to Los Angeles approximately 10 years ago joining the group Whoz Who.  A former group of a label named Aftermath.  Right away signed a deal with Soulife/Atlantic Records.  Other artist on the label included:  Anthony Hamilton and Sunshine Anderson.  Being there was an experience greatly appreciated at the age of 19 helping me become a smoother more polished vocalist, songwriter, producer and unique artist.  Through the years in Cali, I’ve worked with Artist such as KC and JoJo, Aaron Hall, Yukmouth, Anthony Hamilton and other hot artists.  I have been signed to 3 different Indy labels with a group but now I’m currently unsigned.

The time has come for me to step out on my own and show the non-believers what’s really good, by dropping my debut album, because “The Tyme Iz Now”, to unleash the talents and God sent voice to bless everyone’s hearts, minds and soul.  Making the impact that I know I will make in this world and music industry, I will make the name Ike Vega unforgettable.  I will start by leaving my life on paper and CD….
